Our Creation Process

To achieve the illusion of motion on a printed photo paper, the following steps are taken:

The images are digitally sliced, interlaced, and printed on a stiff card or photo paper. A corrugated acrylic lens is then applied to to the top of the card. The angles of the lens reflect each slice of the corresponding image in the same direction. When viewed from opposite angles, the images appear individually. When the print or viewer moves, the transition between the images appears as a fluid sequence.
